"Not quite the movie deal I expected"
I signed up thinking this would be great for catching movies more often, but the monthly limit gets used up fast. After that, there’s not much you can do with it until the next cycle. Let’s just say it doesn’t exactly feel like I’m getting my money’s worth most months.

"Booking was frustratingly unreliable"
The service was down way too often. I tried to book several times, and about half the time it just wouldn’t work. It made the whole experience inconvenient and not very dependable.

"Billing was really unclear"
I signed up thinking I had a good idea of what the monthly cost was going to be, but once the charges started showing up it felt way less clear than I expected and I kept having to look around to figure out what was included, what wasn’t, and why the total was higher than what I thought I agreed to.

Maybe the details were somewhere in the fine print or spread across different pages, but it was annoying to deal with and it made me feel like I couldn’t really trust the billing, so I ended up cancelling because I don’t want to keep paying for something when I’m not even totally sure what I’m being charged for.

They changed the rules again, it’s getting frustrating. It feels like every time I get used to how things work, something shifts and makes it less worthwhile. At this point, I just feel disappointed and don’t think it’s worth sticking with anymore.

"The extra fees ruined the deal"
I signed up thinking MoviePass was going to be a good deal, but then I started seeing extra fees show up on my receipts and in the emails, and it was not clear where all of it was coming from. Cancelling wasn’t exactly smooth either, which made the whole thing more frustrating. it just left me feeling kind of tricked. I wouldn’t use moviepass.com again.

"Showtimes are barely usable"
Every time I open it, the showtimes are either missing or ridiculously limited... My theater has movies playing all day, but MoviePass only shows these random weird times? If I can’t pick a normal showing, it’s just not worth it

"MoviePass feels much more reliable now"
I was hesitant to sign up again because of all the old MoviePass problems, but my experience this time has been solid. When the app showed that a ticket was available, it actually worked at the theater, which was a nice surprise. I also appreciate the little details, like being able to see the credit cost before picking a showtime and checking which theaters are included nearby. The credits and theater list can still be a little confusing at first, so I’d definitely recommend double-checking everything before you head out. But overall, it feels much more honest and trustworthy than I expected.

"The app just made MoviePass feel impossible to use"
I tried giving moviepass another shot, and honestly... the app made it way harder than it needed to be. It kept freezing, randomly logged me out, and then the check-in button just wouldn’t show up sometimes. Like, I was standing there trying to see a movie, and instead I’m restarting the app over and over. Support didn’t really get me anywhere either, which was frustrating. If the whole service depends on using your phone, the app really needs to work better than this

"Not worth it anymore"
I used to think MoviePass was a decent deal, but they keep changing things so much that it’s hard to know what you’re even paying for. The price sounds good at first, but then there are all these limits, extra rules, and restrictions after you’ve already paid. it’s kind of ridiculous. It feels like they make it seem cheaper than it really is, and for me, it’s just not worth it anymore.

"The waitlist took quite a while"
I knew there would probably be a bit of a wait going in, so I tried to be patient, but the waitlist ended up taking longer than I expected. It wasn’t the end of the world or anything, but it did feel a little frustrating after a while, especially since I was hoping the process would move along a bit faster.

I signed up for moviepass thinking it would be straightforward, but the communication has been confusing. The emails don’t really explain much, and the messages in the app feel vague, so whenever something changes, I’m left trying to figure out what it actually means. I’m not sure if other people have had the same experience, but it made the whole thing feel more stressful than it should be. Even support replies felt kind of copy-and-pasted. For me, it just wasn’t worth the headache.

"App kept failing and no one to talk to"
I tried to reserve seats, but the app kept failing over and over again. What made it more frustrating was that there didn’t seem to be any real person to contact for help, just automated stuff that didn’t solve anything. Really annoying experience...

"MoviePass Just Wasn’t Usable Near Me"
I signed up thinking MoviePass would work with theaters around my area, but the list was way more limited than I expected. The main places I actually go to didn’t even show up, which was frustrating. I kept checking on different days and times, hoping maybe something would change, but it was always the same issue. it kind of felt like my area was just being ignored. What’s the point if I have to drive 40 minutes just to find a theater that works with it? Canceling ended up being the only thing that made sense. It’s a good idea in theory, but the availability just isn’t there for me.

I canceled my order and asked for a refund weeks ago, and I still remember how relieved I felt at first, thinking it would be handled quickly. But since then, it’s just been one vague reply after another with no real update and no money back. It’s really frustrating, and the whole thing has left a bad impression. Customer support feels like they’re just brushing me off, which is disappointing.

"Good sometimes, just not always"
I do think it’s worth it now and then, like when I’m actually using it a lot or there’s something I really need. But every single month? I don’t know… it kind of depends. Some months feel totally worth it, other months I’m just like, why am I paying for this?

"Reactivation was a hassle"
I tried to reactivate my account, but it never seemed to work properly. I’m not sure if it was a glitch on their end or maybe their system just doesn’t update things correctly, but it was frustrating. I expected it to be a quick process, and instead I kept running into issues...

"Check-in was a mess"
I tried checking in twice and it just kept freezing on me. I don’t even know what was going on, but it was really frustrating. Ended up missing my movie because of it, which just felt awful.
